Milo is an ADVANCED TRAINED PAIN SPECIALIST. He is one of the area's best Wellness Practitioner's when it comes to helping people with their pain. He specializes in Primal Reflex Release Technique™- PRRT, for short. What makes PRRT unique, is its ability to assess and treat a patient in a matter of just minutes and usually increase range and speed of motion along with decreasing pain.  Often client experience nearly a 50% improvement on just their first session.  If a client hasn't experienced some improvement within the first couple of sessions, PRRT is not recommended as it's not that patients' solution to their problem.  We often say that PRRT either succeeds fast or it fails fast.  You won't be wasting a lot of time, energy and money over weeks and months waiting to see if you will get pain relief.

Who is a good candidate for Primal Reflex Release Technique ™?
If you are experiencing muscular pain, muscle stiffness or joint pain, range of motion issues, without structural issues, you may be a good candidate for this technique. It can also help with planters facetious, TMJ,
fibromyalgia and athletic injuries.  Many times people feel that they have structural issues, such as knee, shoulder, or even back pain. While most chiropractic care focuses solely on the structural issues with physical manipulation, PRRT addresses these same issues at a deeper, root issue, releasing the surrounding muscular tension causing the structural pain. PRRT can even help people experience relief from residual muscular pain from surgery and injury.  If you have chronic pain or carry your stress in your body, such as your back, then you are also a good candidate for PRRT.  We even have many clients who prefer this technique for stress relief over therapeutic massage.

Other good candidates include athletes wanting to perform in top condition. Runners with tight hamstrings, tennis players with elbow issues, golfer with wrist pain, and yogis with range of motion issues can all benefit from PRRT. Milo has even worked with a variety of professional athletes, helping them perform at top condition, from national level MVP softball players, mixed martial arts, racquetball and even Academy Award winning musicians!

What is involved during the assessment and treatment?
The client gives a history of their condition or pain complaints. The practitioner will perform a short assessment of just a few minutes to identify the painful and hypersensitive areas.  This assessment primarily goes from the tail bone up the entire spine, then the feet, legs, thighs, pelvis and the trunk.  Once the hypersensitive areas have been identified, then the treatment begins. The practitioner then uses fingers or hands to work the painful muscle.  In addition, short, simple exercises will be performed to help release the muscle.

How is this different from massage?
First, during PRRT, the client remains fully clothed during the entire assessment and treatment.  Massage, while being able to address general muscular tension, is used more to promote overall well-being, reduce stress, and promote relaxation.  PRRT is specific to addressing and treating muscular pain. PRRT is also much faster than traditional massage.  Each technique had its therapeutic value and place in treating various muscular issues.  PRRT can be used at the beginning of a massage to address problem areas and to achieve the ultimate relaxation of the muscles.

Does this work with other treatments?
YES!  We have clients who are working with doctors, chiropractors, and physical therapists to address their structural issues, while we address their muscular issues.  What they have discovered by incorporating Primal Reflex Release Technique™ into their treatment is that they have faster, longer lasting results in down regulating their pain.   Primal Reflex Release Technique™ in the news. This technique is being used by Massage Therapists, Physical Therapists and Chiropractors to help down regulate pain.
